[WHAT IS TALAIES SONORES?

Talaies Sonores it's an artistic proposal that focuses the attention in different issues. Principally the main issue it's to play experimental electronic music on the open air, surrended by nature and far from the civilitzation. Aswell it's the root project of a label (AUDIOTALAIA) dedicated to distribute music under the conditions of GPS game, Geocaching.

[WHAT DOES IT MEAN "TALAIES SONORES"?
In catalan "talaia" it's a high point on a mountain where, on the middle ages people build towers used to control huge extentions of territory. "Sonora" means sound but as an adjective. So the convination of the two words gives us a more or less simplified transltion into english: sound overview.

[WHAT I CAN HEAR IN A TALAIES SONORES SESSION?
Mainly you can hear minimal, experimental electronic music with large dones and extenshive pads trying to reach a dialog with the silent landscape hat surounds you. You can hear an example here.

[WHAT IS AUDIOTALAIA?
Audiotalaia Homelabel it's the trademark of all publications released in that very weblog. The aim of the label it's to distribute music free. The only difference with a netlabel it's that Audiotalaia uses Geocaching as a channel of distribution. The aim of the label it's to produce minimal experimental electronic music.

[WHAT IS GEOCACHING?
Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure," usually toys or trinkets of little value. Today, well over 480,000 geocaches are registered on various websites devoted to the sport. Geocaches are currently placed in 222 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica.

[WHAT IT'S THE RELATION BETWEEN TALAIES SONORES AND GEOCACHING?
All the sessions recorded on the mountain are contained in eight CD's each. Those eight CD's are placed inside a cache. And as the rules of geocaching are, those caches are profiled on the net. So if you are interested in hearing the music you must have a GPS device and go for seek the audiocache.

[HOW MANY CACHES AUDIOTALAIA HAVE RELEASED?
